Before Your Appointment

Save time by downloading and completing your paperwork ahead of time from our Online Forms page. Bring your ID, insurance information, a list of current medications, and any imaging or records related to your condition. Veterans using the Community Care Network should have their VA referral in place; learn more on our We Treat Veterans page.

Your History and Examination

On your first visit, we take a detailed health history and perform an examination to determine your diagnosis. We’ll ask about when your pain started, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your daily life. Some conditions may require X-rays to get a clear picture of what’s going on.

Your Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

Dr. Bruce Humphries, DC will discuss your condition with you in plain language and recommend a course of treatment. Treatments vary by condition. Common options include:

  • Chiropractic adjustments to loosen locked-up joints and muscles
  • Physical therapy: moist heat, ice, electrical stimulation, muscle stretching, traction, flexion/distraction, and cupping
  • Massage therapy
  • Exercise physiology
  • Lifestyle modifications, such as individualized home exercises, stretches, supports, ergonomics, and nutritional advice
  • Supports such as taping and braces

Depending on your needs, your plan may also include acupuncture or shockwave therapy. See all of our chiropractic services.

Ongoing Progress Reviews

Regular treatment reviews help us track your progress and make appropriate changes to your care. As you improve, your plan may shift from pain relief toward strengthening and preventing future problems. If your condition needs a specialist, we will refer you.

Whether you’re coming in for back pain, neck pain, headaches, a sports injury, or an auto accident injury, we look forward to helping you. Visit our New Patients page or read our FAQs for more information.
